CHAMBERLAIN URGES PRESIDENT TO INDORSE UNIVERSAL MILITARY TRAINING

WASHINGTON, March 29.--United States Senator Chamberlain, chairman of the senate committee on military affairs, has asked the president to indorse, in his address at the opening of the extraordinary session of the congress, the policy of universal military training. Chamberlain says that if the president will indorse the plan, it will be no trouble to pass a bill with this object in view, but without the president's support, it would be quite useless to attempt anything in this direction.
