On Monday last his Excellency John Sullivan, Esq. Captain General, reviewed the third regiment and two troops of light horse, at Hampton: the promptitude and exactness with which the exercise and evolutions were performed, at the same time that it reflected the highest honor on the officers and privates, gave infinite satisfaction, not only to his Excellency, but to a numerous concourse of spectators, and encourages the pleasing hope, that the militia of this state will in a short time, through the well known military talents of the Captain General, be rendered not inferior to the best disciplined militia in Europe.
