The South Carolina Gazette, of Jan. 31, says,

"Soon after the altercation between Mr. Flood and Mr. Grattan, they went to Holyhead in Wales, and there fought in the Church Yard. Mr. Grattan fired first, and lodged a ball in Mr. Flood's body, above the thigh bone. Mr. Flood then fired, and hit Mr. Grattan in the right arm. Mr. Flood's wound is not to be mortal: Mr. Grattan's, from the nature of it, cannot be dangerous. The seconds interfered, after the first fire, but it is said, neither of the parties were reconciled."
