THE ENTERTAINMENT LAST NIGHT.—The large audience at Armory Hall last night to witness the presentation of "Ten Nights in a Bar Room," by the Alexandria Dramatic company, for the benefit of the Reform Club, was agreeably surprised by the excellent manner in which the piece was brought out. Although an amateur entertainment, no one, at the close, regretted having been present, for the company, composed almost entirely of members of the Reform Club, gave as good a performance as many pretentious professional troupes visiting this city have done. Andrew Deeton as "Simple Switcher," and Miss Lillie Dorn as "Mehitable Cartwright," were the life of the play, and received a good deal of applause for their fine acting. Indeed all performed well their parts, and those present testified their appreciation of the efforts of those on the stage by frequent hearty applause. In addition to those mentioned above, the following took the several parts: "Joe Morgan," W. H. Baker; "Simon Slade," Chas. Ferrer; "Harvey Green," Braxton Smith; "Mrs. Romaine," Frank Wood; "Frank M.," Thomas Herbert; "Willie Hann," Frank Beeton; "Mrs. Morgan," Mrs. Forrest; "Mrs. Slade," Mrs. Mattie I. Erwin; "Little Mary Morgan," Fannie, a remarkably bright and charming little girl. The entertainment, under the management of Mr. Braxton Smith, was a success in every particular. Music was discoursed during the evening by a good orchestra.
