Misses Mary and Helen McClughen have returned to their employment in Cincinnati after spending the holiday season with their parents, C. C. McClughen and family.
Hobart Mann and family of Lynchburg, Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Johns of Dayton, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Foster and son Tommy, and Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Humes composed a happy family group that were dinner guests recently with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Glassco and daughter Miss Phyllis.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe McClughen have returned home from a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mattox and family of near Gallipolis.
D. M. Semple and wife were recent Sunday evening guests of her sister Mrs. James Campbell and family at West Union.
Elyas Foster and family were dinner guests on Saturday with Claud Clark and family.
Mrs. Kathryn Stevens and children of Cincinnati, visited here during the holidays with her sister, Mrs. E. M. Foster and family.
Clifford Foster, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Elvas Foster and a graduate of the Winchester high school was married to Miss Ether McCormick of near Seaman. Their many friends including ye scribe extend congratulations to them.
Misses Velma Mae and Thelma Fae Clark were pleasant Sunday afternoon guests with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Semple and Wayne Trefz and family of Seaman spent the evening with them.
Mrs. Jane McClughen was a recent guest of her grandson James McClughen and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Behm with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Behm, newlyweds were entertained to six o'clock dinner on Sunday evening by their brother Andrew and wife in Winchester.
Miss Daisy McClughen spent from Tuesday until Friday with her sister Mrs. Robert Simmons and family of near Tranquillity.
Glenn McClughen, the 12-year-old son of C. C. McClughen has been confined to his home the past week with a cut knee cap, caused by falling on broken glass while playing at school. Dr. Leeds clamped the cut together and he is doing nicely.
Claud Clark and family were evening guests with Elvas Foster and family one night last week.
W. E. Semple and wife were entertained to a six o'clock oyster supper Tuesday evening by their son Donald and wife.
Roy Reed and wife of Cincinnati were recent guests with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Reed and son Roland.
Robert Simmons, wife and baby Larry Lee spent part of last week with her parents, C. C. McClughen and family.
