Shanghai, Monday, Dec. 21. - 8:53 a. m. —(U.P.) Government airplanes today bombed concentrations of Marshal Chang Hsueh-Liang's troops in the Wainan. Hu-yuan and San Yuan districts near Sian-Fu in an effort to hasten negotiations for the release of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek.
The railway station and a big rebel ammunition dump at Weinan were destroyed.
Squadrons of planes flew over Sian-Fu and dropped bombs on the suburbs despite possible danger to the imprisoned Nanking dictator.
The military demonstration was believed to have been ordered by Gen. Yu Yu-Jen and timed to coincide with arrival in Sian-Fu of T. V. Soong. former minister of finance. who has started final negotiations with Marshal Chang for the release of the generalissimo and a dozen high Nanking officials seized with him.
