THE HEALTH OF THE CITY.

The proceedings of the meeting of the Howard Association, held yesterday, are highly re-assuring. Not only has that noble organization done its work faithfully and well, but it is able, besides, to assure the public that the number of cases of yellow fever is rapidly decreasing, and that the proportion of deaths to the whole number of cases grows less every day. The association show, moreover, by uncontrovertible facts drawn from the experience of this season, that most of the severest cases of yellow fever can be cured, where the patient is of temperate habits and has good nursing and prompt medical attention.
