South Carolina State Nine Trips Florida A & M Rattlers 8-6

TALLAHASSEE-- Florida A. and M. University nine dropped its opening SIAC contest to South Carolina State, 8 to 6 in an eleven inning thriller here last week.

Pitcher Willie Jeffries won his own game by stealing home in the top of the eleventh inning. Louie Green's single accounted for the other two S. C. State runs scored in the eleventh

Jeffries was the winning pitcher. He gave up nine hits and six runs. David Gardner was the loser. He scattered 12 hits and gave up eight runs.

Both pitchers went the route.
