THE LATE NEWS.

We live in a most eventful period. We have seen the ancient and powerful House of Bourbon, suddenly hurled from a splendid throne to the block, and a Colossus rise upon its ruins, who appeared destined to bestride the Universe. We now behold the immense power of this most wonderful Monarch, crumbling into atoms; a descendant of the Bourbon line leaping into his seat, and HE who so lately almost wielded the sceptre of the world, about to retire to an island, of 25 leagues in circumference!!!
