NEW ASSISTANT
PURE FOOD AND DRUG INSPECTOR INCREASES HIS FORCE.
NASHVILLE, June 11.- W. O. Waddill, of Madisonville, Ky., yesterday entered the office of Dr. Lucius P. Brown, state pure food and drugs inspector, as temporary assistant.
On account of the heavy work of his department, which has increased greatly during the past two years, Dr. Brown now finds himself calling for more assistants in several lines. Additional inspectors are also badly needed by Dr. Brown to cover the territory of Tennessee as it should be covered.
Dr. Brown is now pushing a "swat the fly" movement throughout the state, and has sent big posters to all mayors and county officials of the state urging co-operation to kill out the pest.
