Election of officers were held during the Sunday School hour at the Mt. Mariah AME Church last Sunday. A large group was in attendance.

"Joy" was the theme for the morning message delivered by Rev. H. C. Nelson, with the text taken from James 11:1-14. One member was added to the church at this very inspiring service.

Among the visitors were Rev. Mr. Earl Nelson of Philadelphia. Pa.. Mr. and Mrs. Cisco Nelson of Carmel, New Jersey and Mr. Edward Nelson of Brooksville, Florida.

At 3:30 o'clock Miss Peggie Ellen Tyson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tyson became the bride of Mr. Samuel Fulian. Rev. H. C. Nelson officiated.

The pastor took for a text at the 7:30 evening service St. Luke 2:38, from which he preached another soul stirring sermon. The spirit was high throughout the day.

On December 31. the watch night service will begin at nine o'clock.

Services will be held on New Year's Day at Mt. Mariah AME Church. The public is invited.

The Christmas program was very good and enjoyed by everyone.
