Another meeting of those interested in the expedition forming under the auspices of Dr. Wm. Wright, was held in Boston on the 10th inst. Addresses were made by D. K. Allen, President, and Judge W. W. Brookings, of Dakota Territory. Letters and telegrams from Mr. J. S. White, of Philadelphia, were read, in which he expressed the opinion, founded upon experience, that the 20th of April was too early for parties to leave, on account of the backward spring in the west. And, as the Philadelphia party is to leave on May 1st, the question of postponing the day of departure until the first of next month was debated and finally agreed to by a large majority. The chairman of the committee on transportation stated that several members of the organization had already started 'for the front,' and if any others were ready to go and determined to do so, that he was prepared to carry them from Boston to the Black Hills, but he recommended them to wait for the main body. A number of names were added to the roll.
