Fruitful Season.—The editor of the Rutland (Vt.) Herald, says he has been presented with a potato this season, measuring nineteen and a half inches in circumference. It should be shipped to Ireland. The National Standard states, that a Mr. Royal Station, of Randolph, (Vt.) has this year raised a pumpkin vine six hundred and seventy-five in length, which produced thirty-two pumpkins, twenty of which were of the ordinary size. Mr. Randolph must have procured the seed from Ohio, where, we are informed, a gentleman resides who planted a pumpkin seed over night, and in the morning finding the vine had commenced running, he mounted his horse and rode in vain for several hours to overtake it, but his horse becoming tired, he was forced to give up the chase! By the bye, our friend of the Cleaveland Herald denies that the cucumber from four to five feet long, grew in the same garden where the crow-bar, shot forth: innumerable branches of brads and spikes. We were therefore probably misinformed. It was in the garden of another gentleman near by, whose radishes ran so deep in the soil, that they were stolen by the antipodes, pulled them through
