MILITARY DIVISIONS

Movement is Inaugurated to Re-establish Them

Washington, April 18.—A movement has been inaugurated to re-establish the military divisions in this country with several departments included in each.

It has received the endorsement of high army officials, and will no doubt be taken up and considered at an early day, probably after the return of Secretary Root and General Corbin from St. Louis.

There are to be three divisions, the Atlantic, Mississippi and the Missouri and the Pacific. Each will be in command of a major general of the army.
