Mail Road to Philadelphia.—Gen. Bernard, with captain Poussin of the engineer corps, accompanied (at the request of the postmaster general) by Messrs. William Meeteer, Thos. Hillen, and John W. Glenn, of Baltimore, John Forwood, Thomas A. Hayes, and Howes Goldsborough, of Hartford; James Sewell, F. I. Savin, and Jacob Cowder of Cecil, commenced their examinations of the above road this day, under a resolution of congress. Messrs. Gilpin, Cooch, and Torbot, of Delaware, will join in the examination through that state.
