Habeas Corpus Will Be Applied For By Pantages

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (P).
Alexander Pantages' battery of four attorneys said tonight they would file an application for a review of the showman's petition for temporary release from jail on bond with the appellate court Monday.

Superior Judge Charles W. Fricke, who presided at Pantages' trial on an assault charge and after his conviction sentenced him to from one to 50 years in San Quentin penitentiary, yesterday for the second time denied the multi-millionaire admission to bail pending decision on his appeal.

The vaudeville magnate's attorneys immediately announced they would file a writ of habeas corpus and the original writ of application for release with the appellate court in an effort to override Judge Fricke's decision.
