"In my last I informed you that the Nation, in general, seemed greatly displeased with Mr. Pitt. (now Earl of Chatham) for accepting a Peerage, and I am sorry now to add that Lord T-- was among the most virulent of his Enemies, in traducing and vilifying his Character-- But now the People discover the Deception, and at the next Election we shall see another Instance of true Patriotism, and the East-India Company are not without their Fears, they shall feel the Effects."
