BALTIMORE, September 30,

On Monday evening last, the representatives chosen
by the respective manufacturing and mechanic branches
agreeable to the resolves of a former general meeting,
as mentioned in our Journal of the 20th instant, assembled
in the room over the Market-House in this town, to take
into consideration the declining state of trade and
manufactures, where, after choosing a chairman, and being
unanimously of opinion that something should be immediately
done for obtaining relief from the grievances generally
complained of, a committee of correspondence was appointed
to answer the circular letter received from Boston, and to
transmit the same, with our concurrence therewith, to the
different towns of this state; and to do all such other
matters, which the association may, from time to time, resolve
as necessary to promote the great and important ends in view.
The association having gone through the above business,
adjourned to 5 o'clock this evening, to meet at Mr. Page's,
in Gay-Street.
