Pitiable Condition of India's Dying Thousands.

The reports from that famine-stricken section are so appalling that one stands dumfounded that such horrors could exist. Ten millions of people are in danger of death by sheer hunger, and the woe has not yet reached its worst. Face to face with starvation stand countless women and children, and equally helpless men. Thousands are dying daily, and the small amount required to support a human life there should cause a liberal contribution on the part of Americans.
