Since the Death of the above-said Gentleman, the following Promotions have been made by Sir John Norris, viz. Capt. Durell, remov'd from the Leopard, to the Command of the Centurion; Capt. Chambers, from the Griffin Fireship, to the Leopard; Lieutenant Deering, late first Lieutenant of the Britannia, made Capt. of the Griffin; Lieutenant Guy, first of the Sunderland, made sixth Lieutenant of the Britannia; and Mr. David Broady, late Midshipman on board the Britannia, made third Lieutenant of the Sunderland.
