We have received nothing of moment from Concord, since our last. The consideration of the memorial and remonstrance from Nath'l A. Haven and others, respecting the votes of this town, was postponed to this day.

The following is the state of the votes for Councillors as reported by the committee:-

In Rockingham—Elijah Hall 4712—Josiah Sanborn 4405 Scattering 27.

Strafford—Samuel Quarles 3673—Nathan Taylor 3571—Scattering 4.

Hillsborough—Benjamin Peirce 4739—John Orr 3054—Scattering 409.

Cheshire—Ithamar Chase 4730—Nathan Babbit 3152—Scattering 5.

Grafton & Coos—Enoch Colby 3436—Abel Merrill 1365—Scattering 973.

The votes from Kingston, Newtown, and Hillsborough (401 for Plumer, 167 for Gilman, and 2 scattering) were not counted, not having been seasonably returned.

Had these been included, the result would have stood thus:

Whole number of votes 39,112

For John T. Gilman, 19,942

Constitutional majority, 286
