CINCINNATI, O., Nov. 17. — A woman who stabbed three men on downtown streets here last night was under observation of police physicians today.
She was registered as Miss Catherine Hearn, 35, saleswoman. Police said she apparently was suffering under the hallucination that she was to be thrown into a taxicab and kidnapped.
Her victims were Stanley Holtman, 25, of Covington, Ky., who is in a serious condition, George Liebfarth, 29, and Dante Mastropaolo, 19.
Holtman was the first attacked. He said he was standing on a street corner when the woman brushed against him, then stabbed him.
Liebfarth was next, then Mastropaolo.
By the time the third man was stabbed a police squad was in pursuit of the woman.
Miss Hearn said she recently came from Los Angeles. She said she lived with a family named Brown at 128 West 8th street, Los Angeles.
"A bunch of taxicab drivers have been trying to kidnap me," she said simply, in explaining the attacks.
