Full Text

The three Spaniards who have been convicted at Richmond of piracy and murder on board the brig Crawford, have, since their condemnation, confessed their guilt, and acknowledged that their previous crimes have been worthy of death. We learn from a New York paper, that among the persons murdered on board the Crawford, was a young man named Eldridge Holloway, a native of North Kingston, in Rhode Island, and who had resided several years at Matanzas, and was returning to make a visit to his parents and friends. In the first accounts of this piracy his name was omitted, but it is now ascertained that he was on board, and that he shared the fate of his companions.
