CORRECTION.--An impression seems to exist in some quarters, that we had charged Mr. Larzelere with selling out the Republican party, at the election for Delegate to the Constitutional Convention, in permitting persons to vote upon three dollars instead of five, as the law requires. We never intended to be understood as making such a charge: but we did think that voting business was a queer proceeding. in view of the plain wording of the law on the subject, when we knew nothing of the circumstances in the case. Mr. Larzelere claims that, through mistake, the Judges were furnished with the wrong law to govern themselves by; and as soon as he discovered the mistake, he stopped the illegal voting. We have no reason to doubt his word, and will merely say that we had too much confidence in Mr. Larzelere, to believe that he had sold out the party.
