San Francisco, October 30.—The Workingmen had quite a largely attended meeting on Nob Hill this evening, which was addressed by Kearney and other speakers. It was under the auspices of the Cigar-makers' Association, and it is designed to hold a series of meetings of a similar nature to revive the anti-Chinese excitement, which has been allowed to some extent to die out of late. The speeches had a good deal of the old fashioned blood and thunder ring about them. Kearney, referring to the recently reported scheme of the Chinese Merchants' Steamship Company to put on a line of steamers between this port and China, said he was glad of it, as it would teach the Pacific Mail Company something of what the workingmen had suffered from Chinese competition. The police were pretty well represented at the meeting but there was no occasion for their services.
