We hear that a Vessel which arrived at New-York from London after the Post came away, has brought an Account of a Change in the Ministry at Home, and that the following Alterations have taken Place, viz. the Duke of Devonshire first Lord of the Treasury in the Room of the Earl of Bute, appointed Lord Chamberlain of the Household in the Room of the Duke of Marlborough, who has resigned.----The Right Hon Mr. Legge, Chancellor and Under Treasurer of the Exchequer, in the Room of Sir Francis Dashwood, who is to be created a Peer.--- The Right Hon. Mr. Pitt, Secretary of State in the Room of the Earl of Halifax, who is to continue Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.----It was likewise said that the Duke of Newcastle would be appointed President of the Council, in the Room of the Earl of Granville deceased: But some thought that Place would be kept vacant for our most noble negotiator of the late Peace. It is also said that a greater Number of Regiments would be continued in America than was at first proposed; and that 'twas thought the Independent Companies would likewise be kept up.
