SMYRNA, April 8.

The bombardment of Trebizond, in Natolia, continued from the 9th to the 16th of last month, after which Prince Heraclius of Georgia, whose army increases daily, marched in triumph to Nova Caesarea, which opened its gates; and he is now engaged in the siege of Amasia, one of the strongest towns in the province, 12 leagues from the Black Sea.

The Ottoman army, commanded by our Bashaw, is encamped under the walls of Nicomedia. Several pieces of cannon have been transported hither from Scutari. Several galliots are also arrived with soldiers and ammunition, for the defence of this port against the Georgians.
