Our advices from Eastern, Middle, Southern and South-Western Georgia, are all favorable. We entertain scarcely a doubt now, that Pierce and King will carry the State by a large majority. Without our friends in Cherokee fall lamentably behind, their calculations there is no doubt, of the election of the Democratic Electors by the people. But in order to make this result certain, and to preserve the State and the nation from the cheats and curses of another Military Whig Administration, we trust our Democratic friends will be up and doing in every county in the State. The Whigs aided by a few reckless demagogues are making desperate efforts to throw the election into the Legislature, where they hope by another such juggle as that which elected Toombs to the Senate, to give the vote of Georgia to Scott and Graham. Let the people see to it, that they are not thus cheated.
