Methodist General Conference.—This body which is now in session at Pittsburgh, are discussing matters of the first importance to that church. On Monday, the committee on the state of the church reported on the "plan of separation," passed by the General Conference of 1844. They declare it to be of no effect—"null and void." The conference decided not to act upon it immediately, and it was made the order of the day for Wednesday. It was supposed that the report would give rise to a protracted and earnest discussion.
