Brownsville
Sunday past was glorious at Antioch beginning with the Sunday School which was conducted by the superintendent, Bro. G. S. Culmer.
At 11 a.m. the devotional service ran very high in spirit. Our pastor delivered a wonderful message taken from Acts 1:3, To whom also shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs being seen of them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Subject: "A Living Saviour."
At 1:30 p.m. the Antioch Kindergarten rendered a lovely Easter play at 3:30 p.m. the Sunday School presented the usual Easter program. The Training Union was at 5:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. again everyone was benefited through the prayer service and the pastor again delivered a timely and heart warming message taken from St. John 3:14-15, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must the son of man be lifted up. that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Subject: Lift up Jesus.
Mrs. Mary Byrd is still ill at Christian Hospital. Friends wish her a speedy recovery. Mrs. Byrd is the mother of Mrs. Corine Pierce who is also ill at home 3360 NW 48th terr.
Our pastor is away at the state convention this week which is being held in Gainesville.
