We learn from the Mechanics' News Room books, that Mr. Perkins, the Newington Post Master, has been traced to the Marlboro' Hotel, where he is supposed to have passed the first night after his disappearance. He then took stage for Fall River, whither one of his creditors has gone in pursuit of him. He had succeeded in obtaining loans of different sums from several of his neighbors in New Hampshire to the amount of $3,700, before he left home, in order as he stated to pay for cattle, promising on his return to refund the money, with interest. —[Boston Mercantile Jour.
