The Penelope British Packet, arrived at Barbadoes the 20th June, in 27 days from Falmouth, in England. She consequently communicates English dates to about May 23d—twelve days later than before received: They state:-
That the Austrian arms, aided by the oppressed Swiss, have driven the French from Switzerland, with great slaughter:
That the confederate armies in Italy had attacked and taken Milan; and that the French were retreating towards Dauphiny with the utmost rapidity—intimidated at the contact with the Russian invincibles.
These accounts were received from Barbadoes by the Hound cutter, Capt. Fox, arrived at New-York.
