Full Text

Scoundrelly.

New York, 25.—Geo. W. Bull, president of the American steamship company, has discovered by means of careful investigation that somebody, probably a discharged and vindictive employee, has, with devilish cunning and ingenuity, been trying to ruin their business by cutting off their steam in certain localities, and bringing immense pressure on ships which carried it. Several explosions have already occurred and more would have been experienced but for the extreme caution and watchfulness of engineers. The entire system of pipes is now under surveillance.
