To Clean Up Lawns
The people of Henderson are urged by the two local garden clubs to clean up their lawns today and tomorrow, so that they will present a good appearance to visitors here Wednesday and Thursday for the State Garden Club pilgrimage. They are asked particularly to mow their lawns, and pick up any paper or trash nearby.
Headquarters for the tour of Henderson gardens will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Peace, on Andrews avenue. Guests will go there to register and to procure their tickets.
Chairmen in charge of arrangements for the local gardens are Mrs. R. T. Upchurch, from the Henderson Garden club, and Mrs. H. H. Bass, Jr., from the West End Garden club.
