The Rum Mill at Laurens.

At a recent meeting of the County Board of Control of Laurens county, J. A. Austin was re-elected dispenser with A. P. Moore as his assistant. Mr. Austin made a financial report of the affairs of the dispensary for the year ending March 31. According to this report the total sales for the year amounted to $64,633.95. Of this amount $51,200.42 went to the State, $5,811.89 to the city of Laurens, $2,655.69 to the county, $2,655.70 to the free school fund, and $2,810.75 to running expenses for the year. The managers of the dispensary say that they are rigidly enforcing the law requiring age and name of all would-be purchasers of liquors to be given with restriction of only one sale a day to same party.
