CARRANZA'S TOOL INDICTED FOR SHIPPING ARMS TO MEXICO

Is Said To Have Shipped Several Carloads, Using Fictitious Names Thruout Dealings.

NEW YORK, Jan. 1.—Juan T. Burns, consul general for Carranza here, was indicted by the grand jury last evening. He is charged with having shipped several carloads of arms and ammunition to Mexico in defiance of President Wilson's proclamation placing an embargo on all war supplies to Mexico.

Burns is said to have used fictitious names all throughout his dealings but was finally traced by government secret service agents.
