DRINKS AMMONIA BUT MAY GET WELL

Dr. J. L. Springer, of the Southwestern insane asylum, called to attend R. Koilmann, a farmer living about a mile beyond the asylum, who swallowed a teaspoonful of concentrated ammonia by mistake about 4:30 o'clock Sunday morning, stated this afternoon that the condition of the victim of the accident remains practically unchanged, with the possible improvement that he has not vomited blood today. The physician considers that his patient has fair chances for recovery. It is stated that Mr. Keilman, who was suffering from a severe cold, awakened early Sunday morning, reached out of bed to a stand nearby for some cough medicine, and by mistake took the ammonia, which he swallowed before discovering his mistake.
