Lions Club Hears
Interesting Talks

Herbert Kelly, former narcotic addict who spent 15 years in Folsom for a crime committed while under the influence of drugs, was a speaker at Lions club luncheon yesterday noon at the Barbara Worth hotel.

He told of the crimes which are committed by drug users and urged a campaign of education to stamp out the evil.

Something of the work accomplished at the summer camp at Hivpass was told by Mrs. Frank Mitchell, who is in charge. She explained that plans are being made to care for 80 children for two months.

Gene Becker, accompanied by Estelle Livingston, played two cornet solos.

Visiting Lions were Lee Rosen of Redlands and O. D. Van Dyke of Imperial.
