District Court in Puerto Rico is expected to make some decision Monday afternoon regarding the tanker which has been held up by a court dispute.
Government House has announced.
The V.I. attorney general Francisco Corneiro, and public works commissioner James H. Alva, appeared before the court Friday and while they did not discuss the pros and cons of the case, indicated that the water supply in St. Thomas was critically low.
They asked that the court take some action to alleviate the situation pending a decision on the issues involved.
The Attorney General said this could be accomplished in two ways, by setting a performance bond for the company or by temporarily releasing the vessel.
