The correspondent, "Ontario," of the New York Journal of Commerce, in writing to that paper from San Francisco, under date of the 15th of July, says:
"I am happy to inform your readers that the Rev. W. A. Scott, D. D., of New Orleans, has this day accepted an invitation to become the pastor of a Presbyterian church in this city. He will leave here August 1, for New Orleans, for the purpose of removing his family to this country, returning about December 1, when the new church is to be completed. The Society is to be organized on Monday evening next."
