MARSEILLES, May 12. The Behaviour of the People of Corsica not answering the King's Intentions and Expectations, his Majesty has thought fit to cause the 3 Hostages sent to Toulon by those Islanders to be put under Arret and conducted hither. These Hostages are Gentlemen of the principal Families in the Island; they arriv'd here a few Days ago, and were immediately led to Fort St. Nicholas, where they are to remain until further Orders from the King: They are used with Civility, and being allow'd to receive Visits, a great many People go to see them. These Hostages don't much mind the Loss of their Liberty, but they appear extreamly concern'd for their Countrymen.
