We hear that an Affair, which has made much Noise some Months ago, will, next Year, be brought again upon the Carpet, in Relation to the Expediency of granting the Privileges of British Subjects to Persons of other Nations residing in foreign Countries; by which, it is apprehended, those Privileges may come to be in Danger, and the Government, in other Places, discouraged from treating us so kindly as otherwise they would be inclined: and this for the Sake of no National Benefit whatever, to result from such Communications of our Birth-rights, improperly styled Naturalization.
