Green Mountain Freeman

Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont

What is this article about?

The last news from the Whig National Convention, as we go to press is, that the delegates were on hand in great force, and the friends of the three great rival candidates preparing for a keen contest. No one pretends to predict the result with any certainty, though Webster's chances are said to be improving, Fillmore, it is said, being ready to resign in his favor. We shall see what we shall see, enough of Know-Nothingism at all events.
