Tuesday last Captain Abijah Cobb, arrived here in a Schooner retaken by his Brother Capt. John Cobb in an armed Sloop belonging to this Government, who was out in quest of the French Privateer Schooner which has done so much Mischief lately off Canso, &c. Capt. Cobb informs, that the French quitted the Schooner he brought in on Sight of his Brother's Sloop, took to their Boat, row'd ashore, and made their Escape into the Woods; that when the Schooner departed from the Sloop he was in full chase of the French Privateer, and hopes soon to have a good Account of her.
