NEW YORK - (INS) -The International Boxing Club will begin telling its side of the story next Monday when the Government's Antitrust suit is resumed in Federal Court.
Defense attorneys said IBC president James D. Norris, his partner, Arthur M. Wirtz, and Gen. John Reed Kilpatrick, chairman of the board of Madison Square Garden, will be witness.
The Government rested its case Friday after hearing two witnesses, Boston newsman John Ahearn and former National Boxing Association Commissioner Abe J. Greene.
Ahearn was questioned concerning statements he made about the relationship between the IBC and Boston promoter Sam Silverman.
Greene explained boxing operations the licensing of fighters and managers, the staging of bouts and the relative importance of title and non title fights.
