Pennsylvania.—The Patriot has a very happy faculty of getting along with elections. Take for instance the great State of Pennsylvania, the elections in which State are thus summarily dispatched in the last Patriot:

"The Municipal elections which have just taken place in Pennsylvania look bright and cheering for the cause of democracy. The Key Stone is safe."

No returns of killed and wounded: no statement of votes; no particulars. This now is cool—calm—and, unluckily for federal locofocoism, false. The following letter from a gentleman at the Capital of Pennsylvania, which is copied from the Albany Advertiser, tells a story which is in consonance with some of the particulars of the elections which we gave in our last:

"HARRISBURG, March 31.
Dear Sir—I have intended for some time to write to you, but various engagements have postponed this intention. I have, however, now the advantage of the result of our spring elections, which are indicative of the great popularity of Gen. Harrison, and fully sustain my anticipations of a favorable final result. These elections show a very decided change against Van Buren, who never was a favorite in our State, and since these elections, many citizens have declared their determination to unite themselves to the great Harrison party. Fresh recruits are constantly added to the People, who are eager and zealous to swell the ranks in which they find so much enthusiasm, so much patriotism. The illustrious character of the old Hero, his eminent abilities, his great services to the country, are powerful and persuasive attractions to sustain him at a crisis—when the conduct of public affairs requires—such virtues as he is so eminently gifted with."
