GRAPE, newest flavor in the gelatin family, prepared with ginger ale and topped with gingered whipped cream, makes a richly tasty dessert, smart to serve at a festive meal. 'Specially so since it's made in a jiffy leaving precious time for decorating the table.
Gingery Grape Dessert
1 package grape-flavored gelatin; 1 cup hot water; 1 cup ginger ale.
Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Add ginger ale. Chill until slightly thickened. Place bowl in ice and water. Whip until light and fluffy. Pour into crystal serving dish and chill until firm. Garnish with gingered whipped cream and white seedless grapes.
Gingered Whipped Cream: Beat 1/2 cup whipping cream until thick and fluffy. Fold in 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger. Blend.
