The Annual Program Planning meeting of the Holmes County Home Demonstration council met Friday, October 8, at 2:00 p. m. in the demonstration kitchen in the Masonic Temple building in Lexington. Mrs. W. H. Roach, president of the council, called the meeting to order. The devotional was given by Mrs. T. A. Barrentine after which Miss Olive Dowell, District Agent led in prayer. 'America' was led by Miss Joyce Williams, Home Demonstration agent.
Miss Dowell introduced Mr. Lewis Garrison, Assistant County agent, and Mrs. Garrison discussed the plan for the boys' 4-H club work in Holmes county.
Goals for the new year for the home demonstration council were decided upon and the demonstrations for the coming year were planned. The six home demonstration clubs represented at the meeting were Durant, Boozer ville, Coxburg, Castalian, Lexington, and Ebenezer.
Refreshments of Coca-Colas and cookies were served.
