NOT ENTITLED TO PAY.

Madison, Wis., Oct. 18.--The supreme court today decided that former Judge J. M. Becker of Green county was not entitled to compensation for the time he lost from his office due to conviction for violation of the espionage law on August 31, 1918.

Justice Owen affirmed the decision of the lower court in the case, holding that the judge was automatically removed from office on conviction despite a reversal of the court decision by the United States circuit court of appeals at a later date.
