LEAGUE TO PREVENT FRAUDS AT ELECTION
Churches of the City Will Get Busy During the Next Two Years.
There is a movement among the churches of the city looking toward the organization of a league to prevent crimes against the franchise, punish such offenders and purify municipal politics. The church people of the city believe that the city is being injured by the politicians and that it is time that a concerted effort was made to modify some of the evils. Committees will be appointed, in fact have been appointed by some of the churches, and they will get together and organize a league with officers and an executive committee. They will stand ready to take a hand in the next Grand Forks election on the side of purity in every direction. They will also stand ready to probe alleged cases of crime against the franchise.
